To be considered an archival quality book, the book block must be milled,
notched, stitched with thread, and perfect bound. Our new EVA Plus adhesive is
very aggressive so that it can handle a majority of coated stocks, but even the
best glues can fail under extreme temperatures or with rough handling. The
worst case scenario is that a book gets returned because a page pops out.
The EBC-9000 allows you to stitch books up to 1/2” thick with nylon thread. Be
aware that heavy paper coating may limit your ability to bind and stitch thicker
book blocks. It takes about two minutes per book. |
